If Twinkle is your level, it sounds like you can progress a lot just by playing the thing. Then just check youtube to find more guidance.
The only percussion techniques I know of that may not be self-explanatory is playing one note repeatedly (rolls) when other instruments (like a flute) might just sustain it and playing with two clubs in each hand. But that's typically more relevant for marimba and/or vibraphone.
