Albums You're Not Digging, but this is more about specific ones you were looking forward to that really failed to live up to your expectations. I am a big Steve Earle fan, so when his new one was released in 2011 I was excited. That excitement soon faded when I heard what appeared to be Earle moving away from his country/rock roots and more in a folky acoustic direction. He recovered on the next album, for me anyway, but this remains something of a disappointment for me.
