I managed to avoid Covid too, mainly because I'm pretty much a hermit only going out for shopping and doctor appointments (bad heart, taking care of step-dad). Just got my booster so hopefully the crisis is over for me at least. Guess time will tell though.

I'm glad to hear that. I have to wait 3 months for my booster. That's so sweet you look after your step-dad.

Everyone here has heard already, but I'll just let you know that Karen was in hospital at the height of the pandemic 2019, not for Covid but it was still terrifying that I worried she would not come back. Had to get special permission to go in the ambulance with her to the hospital, place looked like something out of a science fiction movie with the tents set up outside and so deserted. Doctor didn't help by shrugging and saying, when I eventually managed to get in touch (and she only picked up the phone by accident) "not in her ward but it could happen any time." Thanks doc! That's really what I needed to hear!

Luckily she got through it and home safely. We're both fully vaxxed now though the incidences are going up again in Ireland, so it's still a scary time. Nobody else in the family affected thank the Great Pixie. Lost the last of our cats though (RIP Eddie, 2002 - 2021) so we are now a house of no cats.

I am so so sorry to hear that darling. OMG some doctors have no bedside manner, fr! Glad to hear you're both doubled vaxxed. We were in lockdown in Auckland for 107 days and now I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks that come at random times.
