Octopus's Garden, really, is Ringo's Revolver song
People often make fun it, but really it's an amazing piece of songwriting.
I think they mainly dismiss init because they compare it to the songwriting level of Lennon, McCartney and Harrisson from the Abbey Road period. And they hear it as a sort of a step-back?
But in really, it's a breath of fresh air
A reminder of the psychedelic era
When all was right, and fun and inventive
Just imagine how this song would fit perfectly on Revolver.
