Yeah, some people get horrible reactions when they come out, but in the more progressive parts of the world that happens less and less, fortunately. I didn't have bad experiences either. And for me a bad experience would have had to be really severe to outweigh the good aspects. Personally I don't know anyone who didn't consider themselves better off for coming out afaik
