Let me tell you what happened to me when I was young. I dated a girl for about a month and I had the same feeling you did basically. I wanted to tell her we were done in person but my mother thought I should simply avoid her and she'd get the message. Great advice, huh? Anyway, stupid me followed the advice and I will never know how she took it in the end (I would imagine she was crushed). I know how her family took it though because shortly after, her brother drove by me and doused me with his soda. Lesson from this? It is always good to be direct.
