Les Hurdle – "Soul Train" (1974). Library track from Themes International Music Vol. 1 (TIM 1018).

"Themes International was a British production music library founded in 1973 by Alan Parker. By mid-1980s it was acquired by EMI through KPM Music and consenquently folded into the latter. The label's last album was issued in 1999."

I think Les Hurdle was often Alan Hawshaw’s session bassist. Sounds like they’re tipping their hat to Kool & the G’s Jungle Boogie which came out a year earlier. (or perhaps a bit of "Pick up the Pieces" from 1974??)
