I think the amount of people who don't love animals and consider them inferior is far lower than the amount of meat eaters (that's such a horrible term isn't it? Flesh eater, much better). And having a pet can be a strain too. There's no doubt you get back the love, but I'll tell you one thing: looking after 5 cats and Karen while still holding down a job was tough. I needed my burger when I got home from the office!
