That's pretty on brand for him, though. The whole appeal was that it was just dumb schoolboy antics only on national television. Back then it refreshing compared to all the buttoned up "professional" classic rock bands and the at times sanctimonious activism of guys like Dylan or NY era Lennon. Maybe not as refreshing now, though.
