I don't believe so. If I understand correctly, Indeed notes that there are literally hundreds of applicants for each remote work position nationwide, so I'd expect that each company is employing a filtering algorithm to narrow the applications. And as for the government position, they said that the HR department takes 6-12 weeks to process applications. I worked out that I can still sign in to the gov't website where I'd submitted my application and it shows the status as "under review." There's really no one else to contact. They just said to keep checking my spam folder for the next 12 weeks in case they decide to contact me.
It's agonizing to say the least.
