The first stage of my home repair is confirmed for Thursday. It's raining all day every day until then so hopefully the damage doesn't spread too much with the exposed beams.
In the first hour of the week, I resolved and implemented an expanded job search to include local non-remote positions to overcome the challenge of applying for remote work where I'm competing with hundreds of applicants. I found ten potential job matches, then drafted and submitted ten cover letters and resumes and applied to each. The two local results I found were records clerk positions for area law firms, which showed promise as I've built a paperless workflow automation system for a local law firm and provided hands-on training for all users. I hope that impresses them and wins their confidence in me.
Then I coordinated with the Program Manager for the five artificial intelligence events I'm hosting this summer.
I'll repeat the process Wednesday for any new qualifying job listings posted since my last login. Eventually someone has got to hire me.
I'm anxious about hosting the five AI events, but so far the response to my research has been overwhelmingly positive so I hope they go well.
I'm also trying to plan something special for my birthday, but everything is up in the air as I will hopefully have a new job before then.
