I grew up with vinyl, and later cassettes. I was pissed off in the late 80s/early 90s when CDs took over, mostly because I had a large record collection and CDs were more expensive. Now, it's the other way around: records are much more expensive and CDs are cheaper. I eventually overcame my bias against CDs, mostly because I have rarely had to return a CD because it was defective, unlike vinyl with its warps, skips, etc.

I still appreciate physical media when it comes to music. I like having a tangible product with liner notes. It really captures a moment in time, unlike streaming, which IMO tends to devalue music, making it just another throwaway commodity. I don't buy as many CDs as I used to, though. If a CD of music I really like isn't available, I'll buy a digital download and burn my own disc.
