Again, I don't see how it clears the "newsworthiness" bar at a major mainstream publication. Every news story has a "why this matters" bit, whether it spells it out or not. What else is there to this story other than the "look at this fuсking sexmonster lol" angle?

An editor at a respectable publication would ask "why should we afford wide readership to the ramblings of a convicted rapist?" And the editor would have a very good point.

Except I don't think this is the only point to be made. Sensationalist and lurid tabloid journalism has its place, it's part of our lives. And sometimes, because it's not bound by the same rules and conventions as the others, it can capture something that the Times etc would be right to (from their point of view) censor out.
