I think what really gets me about this album is how it takes you on a journey from the beginning to the very end. The album flows well. It does not feel like they were trying to make one song that everyone will love. It feels like they made an album that you can listen to from start to finish. Each song, on the album adds to the feeling of the album. I also like that Tom Waits is still trying things on the album. He is not just doing the things he has been doing for a long time. Tom Waits is still being adventurous. That is a reason why I think the album still sounds good to me. The album has aged well for me.
