yeah... alot of professional studios have 12-track mixing desks. obviously youd be after a cheapo one with that budget (or maybe a 8 or 10-track) but the recording method is the same as you'd get in a studio.


though i dunno if its necessary, depends on what your after really. my band recorded a decent demo sound with only a mic dangling from the middle of the practice room... try that first id say.
