I can't believe Ledzeppelin got inspiration back up but Metallica didn't. It's clear that the 10 or so of you started listening to them after the self-titled disc. No band has remined as fiercly independant, and no band had the solid back log of music they do. In my opinion Master of Puppets to Black album represetns three of the most solid works in metal of all time. I don't think any metal band can put up the kind of push they did for the whole metal scene. And while I think RTL is my favorite album, Puppets, Justice, and Black gave a voice to real metal and not that Hair/Glam garabge.

How you say they are overrated is beyond be because with St. Anger, I don't hear anyone saying anything positive about them. So they aren't as highly rated as I think they should be. But to call a band overrated who singlehandedly shed light on an art form living in the parents basements of long-haired losers everywhere is uneducated, and wrong.
