You mentioned Shadows Fall and I recognize the name but can say if I've ever heard anything by them.
At any rate, I think
Opeth is on Roadrunner and they're pretty good.
Looking at this thread, I'm realizing that Roadrunner is definitely too commcerial.
I think they have
Theory of a Dead Man signed to them as well.
