The General Electric is the fourth album to be released by New Zealand bandShihad, in 1999. The songs "Wait And See", "Just Like Everybody Else" and "Spacing" all were on previous releases, and were re-recorded for the album. "Wait And See" and "Spacing" were on the Blue Light Disco EP and "Just Like Everybody Else" was featured on their single for the track "Bitter", which was taken off of their album
Killjoy. "My Mind's Sedate", "The General Electric" and "Pacifier" were all used as singles. "Sport And Religion" was released to radio, and had a video made, but was not officially a single. A bonus disc is available with later versions of
The General Electric that included live tracks from the 2000 Big Day Out festival and four music videos.
Enjoy.
