maybe i look into music too much, but i have somethign to say about evanescence as well..
i dont think you can say that evanescence is trying to be goth-rock.. im not the expert on them, but only in "going under" does she dress that way.. their first song she was in a white nightgown.. besides the song itself (going under) if you see the video and listen to the words, its about losing your power of resistance.. in teh video some of the faces in the audience turn demonic and vampire like.. (keep in mind Evanescence was originally a christian based band) and its like she is losing her power to resist the devil. thats my opinion on Evanescence
and by the way i dont listen to evanescence
