Well, it does seem that Sony is rushing to get their PS3 out, but it is understandable.
XBOX 360 was released quite a while ago, and a lot of people are just impatient. They want a next-gen console right now, and may end up purchasing and XBOX 360 if Sony doesn't hurry.
Aside from that, I think the PS3 will be miles better than the other two systems, their graphics processor has 2x the capabilities that XBOX's has, and, Playstation has consistantly better games than xbox, namely the Final Fantasy series

as well as any other game that Square puts out, whom I have rarely been let down by.
The Wii, in my opinion, is ridiculous. I don't want to get up and perform Eddie Gordo combos at 3 in the morning, or have a tennis match in my living room. I want to half-heartadly press buttons with one eye open, not act out the actions I want to perform in the video game.
