Maynard James Keenan = Tool = maybe. A few songs are so-so. On the whole calling them anything other than alt. rock is misleading

Corey Taylor = Slipknot = Nu-"metal" isn't metal

Phile Anselmo = Pantera = again arguable. Thrash at times, southern groove rock other times.

Layne Staley = Alice In Chains = the only Grunge band worth a damn. Not metal.

so my statement is true enough.
