Californication is meant to be satirical

The entire song takes stabs at things that I guess the Red Hot Chili peppers find disreputable.

"Pay Your Surgeon very Well To escape The Spell Of Aging Celebrity Skin is this your chin or is that what you’re waging....", takes a rip at people that go see plastic surgeons to have their face altered so they appear young. Something that is most common when talking about celebrities, hence "the spell of aging celebrity skin"

I think the line "Cobain can you hear the spheres Singing songs off station to station And Alderon's not far away" is something randomly put in there.
Alderon is a reference to Prince Leia's (Star wars) home planet. And I imagine the spheres he mentions are surrounding panets. So I guess it's Anthony metaphorically asking Curt what's it like up there.
And I guess the reason he didn't ask what's it like in heaven or something like that is because it fits with the whole make believe thing since he already mentioned unicorns, creatures of myth/fantasy.
