Hi everyone. I came across this place while dipping my toes in the water at various music forums. The water feels quite warm here!

Music is very important to me and my preferred genre is 'indie rock'. Being of middle age, I have a great love of some older rock bands a la Zep (who I saw live in Manchester in the 1970's), Bowie and REM. I'm currently into bands such as The Flaming Lips, Grandaddy (RIP

), Death Cab For Cutie, The Arcade Fire, The Postal Service, Of Montreal, Wolf Parade etc. etc.. Incidentally, regardless of your preferred musical style, it's worth seeing a Lips concert just to witness Wayne Coyne's on-stage antics!!

Being open with you all, I hold the rôle of administrator on another music forum. My aim here is initially and principally to make new friends, discover new music and enjoy a new community, but with the consent of the site owner/ admin staff, I admit to seeking some cross pollination in the future.
