This great start you have, has to be put in context, because chances are (no offence) as the season progresses Portsmouth will probably slip down the table. The points your getting now will be invaluable later on. Christ that sounded arrogant!

there's no doubt we'll slip down the table. we damn well better had. i told one of my housemates i'd take him on holiday
anywhere if we win the league - and right now i'm thinking about heading down the bookies to put a tenner on us and cover my arse.
the realistic question would be: can we hit the next transfer window with 30+ points?
If we can then we have a much better chance of signing a better quality of player.
also looking forward to seeing the three newbies:
Fernandez, Kranjcar and Dhoula (SP).
Kranjcar's a very decent creative player and Fernandez looks a monster. Dhoula is supposed to be lightning fast, but he fell out of favour at Benfica - and one has to ask why. Soon we will know.
