I think their first few albums are well worth listening to. If they`d spilt up after Rock n Roll Over I think they`d be a lot more highly regarded.

Maybe so, I've said it many times,
Love Gun and a few before that one were pretty decent... But almost everything they have done in the second half of the 70s and all of the 80s is pure crap, I dunno about overrated but they are overexposed... Plus, they just weren't that talented, sure they did some kickass Rock N Roll, much like AC/DC, only AC/DC were much better and in addition to that they knew better than to try and be versatile, they were very aware that they lacked the chops to do so and overall they didn't want to be anyway... KISS however, have made many lame attempts at being a crossover band, going for everything from Disco to Easy Listening, failing miserably each time, and alienating their core audiance in the process.
Remember when they tried to go Prog?
