Kai Hansen is a musical genius. One of the greatest icons of Metal, although he doesn't get as much recognition as he should deserve. Figured I might make a thread to see how many like his music.
His accomplishments in the genre of Metal:
1) Guitarist for
Helloween, and vocalist for their 'Walls of Jericho' album (which, by the way, was one of the first Thrash albums, before Helloween turned to full-fledged Power Metal).
2) A few guest appearances for
Blind Guardian.
3) Worked with German Power Metal band
Iron Savior.
4) Worked with members of
Edguy,
Rhapsody, etc. for the Metal Opera named
Avantasia.
5) Currently a Guitarist, Song-Writer AND Vocalist for Power Metal band
Gamma Ray.
And Gamma Ray is his crowning achievement. Listen to albums like Land of the Free and No World Order, they are some of the greatest Power Metal albums ever. In fact, he helped popularise the awesome genre of German Power Metal.
Do you not agree that he is truly a legend?
