I can't tell if you're fishing for a flame or not, being new and all, but the reason I checked this forum out was to hopefully find something new.

I hate sub-dividing genres, but I look for coherent type art rock which is what I think of indie, but i think it's probably just some of those bands that I like have been considered indie.

But as far as the boring, I've been feeling a bit under-stimulated with the music selection myself. My last good find was The Fall 'I am, Kurious Oranj.'

On the note of Aussie indie, it reminded me immediately of Steve Kilby (The Church's 'Heyday' is one of my favorites).
