Sorry, you're right, you probably never said that, it was said in another forum when discussing american ignorance. Although, that just means you never even tried excusing your ignorance? I don't think the issue is that most people don't know Welsh is a spoken language, the issue here is that you're an educated young man from Boston, not Bumsville Ohio. Yet you show the same apathy towards any issue outside the U.S. as you average compatriots.

Because you're a white american, unless you count sushi restaurants and manga cartoons as a pivotal part of your culture, I'd say you need to know a few things about the continent that is responsible for the majority of your culture. From Greece to the U.K.

Never been to America I'm affraid, but as far as I know, Boston is supposed to be one of the major educational and intellectual centres of the country. I'm not dissing Boston, I'm dissing you for not meeting it's ( supposed ) standards.
