I think Manzarek is way to often overlooked as the backbone of the doors. Morrison put a wonderful face on a wonderful band But Manzarek is one of the best(if not the best) keyboard players I have ever heard. And without his signiture key work in almost all doors songs the band would never have made it as far as they did.

That pretty much sums up everything i`ve ever thought about the Doors, Manzarek doesn`t get anywhere near the amount of credit he should for the success of the Doors.
