try Steelheart, they had alot of the ballads of thier couple albums along with the heavier song as well.
Try Firehouse they have some great ballads along with some great heavier rock songs
Dokken is pretty decent, they dont have as many ballads as the others but the guitar playing is amazing.
Poison has a great sound to them, Every Rose Has Its Thorn is probably one of thier bests
