wow, flashback to jr high reading these last few pages.

Finally getting over whatever flu/cold/mystery sickness I had that has kept me home and bedridden for the past two days. I'm pretty sure it was a combination of a minor cold and getting 4 pretty tough shots in one go. But whatever, i'm good now. I heard from the volunteer organization today, and I'm all set to go! woot woot! I'll be staying with a family in phnom penh (capitol of cambodia) and working in an orphanage about a 20min moto ride from the house. I'll be living with a middle aged couple, their two sons and their neice, who are around my age, and all three of them speak good english. I'm soooo stoked to go! now i just have to hear from the college i'm going to next year about registration dates, so i can book my return flight. Ideally I'll be returning home the day before I have to register for classes, i'll probably still be jetlagged on orientation. Pretty soon i'll have to go to a travel agency and get travel insurance for the 6 weeks after i finish volunteering (the volunteer organization covers me for the 8 weeks i'm at the orphanage), and go out and buy random stuff needed for the trip. woot woot!
