I know what you mean. I don't hate 80's music but really don't feel like it ever had any current impact on me.

I was alive for 9 years of the 80's and I can't remember hearing any of those classic 80's songs during that time. It was all Kylie, Jason Donavon and Bananarama as far as I remember.

As far as I'm concerned, 80's music only appeared sometime in the mid/late 90's, when we got VH1.


EDIT: ****! I just realised that pre-1960's decades could include a whole heap of classical. There was some pretty sexy stuff coming out of France sometime around 1900 I think.
