ok, this is a theory i just thought of.

now, Thursday were heavily influenced by the emo scene considering they played shows with You And I, Saetia, Neil Perry. IMO, i could say they are an emo influenced post-hardcore band. eventually, thursday got big, and some of bands with similar audio traits were lumped in with them. the fact that Taking Back Sunday ended up on victory didn't help either. someone probably used emo to describe thrusday, and some magazine or internet writer got a hold of the word and exploited it to death because it's catchy.

is that right? i dunno, just testing out if it really works.
