Oh great rebuttal. I didn't even think this was my negative opinions about Indie we were talking about, I thought I was stating a fact, but you have to get all pissy as usual with your typically n00bish "hey, he dissed Indie, I sooo gotta diss Prog to get back at him" response.
Besides, a better example of a crap prog name would be Fuzzy Duck, then you compare that to names like ... And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, Dandy Warhols, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and The New Pornographers. Makes Fuzzy Duck sound more meaningful by comparison, at least it might have actually been inspired by something, perhaps someone in the band liked Fuzzy Ducks.
Yes is an uncreative name, but its not horrible, its a commonly used word, and its not something that makes me taste vomit in my mouth just by saying it. As opposed to 95% of all Indie bands.
