Default Nu Rave

A lot of indie music coming out at the moment seems to be influenced by this movement. I'm not sure if I like it or hate it as my opinions differ with each band and even songs.

Klaxons I like a bit but somehow I feel if they improved the vocals on some songs it would bring them to another level for example Atlantis to Interzone I prefer some of the remixes like Crystal Castles. CSS I can get along with from what I've heard they sound like a fun outfit.

But then there's bands like Enter Shikari and the Horrors which seem to be floating around nu rave which to me sound just god damn awful.

Then there's the whole fashion thing which is just an excuse to wear the most ridiculous clothing ever and paint faces with luminous chemicals (I've broken a glowstick at a gig and rubbed the contents into my face and yes it does sting).

There's quite a few of the big names I haven't really checked out yet but with almost all of them I have issues with the vocals. And anybody who thinks its better than 90's big beat must have something wrong with them, to me it feels like anybody can set up a nu rave band as long as they have a keyboard.

I would like some opinions and recommendations please.
