You could talk about relativity when it comes to happiness, and that generally the happiness of one person comes at the expense of another's... that the things which make one person happy usually conflict with the things that make another happy. You could talk about happiness in terms of a sort of spiritual contentment doesn't exist, that all it is is chemicals being released into the brain. You could talk about the fact that money may not be able to buy happiness, but it can buy cocaine which basically just floods your brain with endorphins, the happy chemical. I don't know. I'm not even completely clear on what exactly the point of your paper is. If you do want to back it up with some other philosophy though, most Eastern philosophies teach that Good cannot exist without Evil, Taoism for instance states that a wise man does not abstract good from reality because doing so also abstracts evil... therefore he is simply content with the nature of things. That might be sort of along the lines of what you're going for...?
