I disagree with Urbam, I think most genres have a lot of worthwhile stuff. But I wouldn't get hooked on just one genre till I get sick of it... Spredding it out is a good thing, you can still have your favorite kinds of music. But experimenting and exploring new stuff is never band.

Though for me, finding new stuff nowadays requires me to listen to a lot of music outside of rock/pop, since I have heard just about everything in rock and pop music.
