The song 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne was actually orginally written to inform the world of Lavigne’s new found lesbian sexuality. Lavigne backed out in the end changing the lyrics from 'Hey hey, you you. I don't like your girlfriend. Hey Hey. you you. You should hand her over' to the words in place today, the lines following the chorus describing sexual activities taking place involving Lavigne and this 'girlfriend' character are too explicit to mention.
