Strip The Soul does sound like Tool, but its a departure from Porcupine Trees usual sound.

Well actually they don't have a usual sound, every album is different. They are similar to TMV in that they blend prog, metal, psychedelic and ambient elements, though PT make it more accessible and radio friendly. They are somewhat like a poppier, heavier (and more instrumentally talented) Pink Floyd.
