Thing is, Let it Be was the very difinition of a patchwork album. It was too obvious that it was just tacked together, it simply sounds unfinished.
People criticize The White Album for sounding tacked together too. But thats really only because every song is so vastly different, it sounds more like a complilation than what you would expect to hear from a studio album. The White Album had much stronger songs than Let It Bleed, the only song from LIB that is on par with the best White Album tracks is Across the Universe.
I list The Beatles albums in terms of preference like so.
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Abbey Road
Revolver
The White Album
Magical Mystery Tour
Rubber Soul
Past Masters, Volume 2
Help!
A Hard Days Night
Past Masters, Volume 1
Please Please Me
With The Beatles
Beatles For Sale
Let It Be… Naked
Yellow Submarine
Let It Be
