theres better acoustic guitar players (John Fahey, Phil Ochs, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake) but hes a hell of a songwriter.
John Fahey is great.

Ochs was just another Guthrie wannabe and his guitar playing was nothing special.

Nick Drake is a HORRIBLE guitarist.

And Elliot Smith is good. But nothing amazing, you really overrate him as a guitarist.

I got indie pop and twee pop confused for a sec.

Bluegrass?
Bluegrass instruments.

His folk stuff shares more in common with Vashti Bunyan too. I wish you'd get rid of your indie-biased when trying to argue.
I like a lot of Indie, so that wont work on me, it has nothing to do with Indie. Wolf is just horrible.

Patrick Wolf is an extremely creative and talented artist. Though if he was on a major label
Modest Mouse are signed to epic.

or came out 30 year agos you'd probably agree.
Nick Drake died well over 30 years ago.
