Music Banter - View Single Post - Do you prefer downloading over buying? Why

OK , I'd like to address something that has not been mentioned yet.

Am I the only one who see's the hypocrisy in all this bands attitudes to downloading.

When bands are unsigned and they have some demo out or some songs online they can't wait for us to hear them , spam the forum with their ad's , give out tapes or CDs to anyone who will be willing to give them a listen & generally beg you to hear their stuff.
And yet as soon as they get signed they bitch about people 'SHOCK HORROR , listening to their music for free !!!!!

So at what point does a song become a commodity that i'm 'stealing' ?
