I think you're underestimating my love for Steve Harris. Maiden is one of my favourite bands and I agree that Harris is a legendary bassist. His two finger triplet technique and stamina is amazing. As the primary songwriter for Maiden he does a brilliant job... his basslines are top quality, yet they don't intrude and dominate the songs too much. He knows when to play and when not to play.
But I still only just prefer Trujillo who is a more diverse bassist than Harris. They're both in my favourite bassists list and I've learned basslines by both.
