Dave van ronk is one of my favorite folk singers ever. He has so much power in his voice and song writing. His guitar playing is totaly captivating and dynamic. I would kill to see him live and just watch hime play that thing. Hes got so much feeling and power you feel like at any moment his guitar could just explode into a thousand notes then he just puts the notes away so subtly you feel like your sinking into the record. I bring him up because Im on a big folk trip right now and no folk discussion would be complete without Van Ronk. If you havnt heard him i recomend listening to Stakkerlee,come back baby, or about anything else off of his folksinger lp. It kills me this guy dosnt get more credit.
