I have thought about this and the old country music had its time and now its time to move on yes as soon as someone or somegroup or sound becomes more popular it seems to get labled pop sounding and not original are as good as the first time it was presented or heard. I also listen to christian music and I for one think it sound pop because it does and its not organ or gospel or choir sounding or like some messiah music from a cathedral or a big church choir. As far as the new country music is concered i like some of the new music that is being played. I love heavy metal and some punk as well but its all to me good if it evovles and grows and changes as long as the roots and the influences are there and can be heard. Keith urban is good as well as others. I like that young new girl { I forgot her name } she sings the dolly parton song { Jolene}. Of course there are many other good countyr bands and I like the sound and songs of Loretta Lynn with the guy form the white stripes I think they cound good together. Johnny cashes album of other musicians and singers songs is great I love the nine inch nails re-make of{Hurt} I love the song he sounds great there. Now that will lable them as pop sounding giving them more radio-air time as well. But its all good to me.
