Seriously, whats more detrimental to a society? A government dictating or a business dictating. And before you bring up idiot underdog theories again, why hasn't any HMO in existence currently offered up affordable coverage for any type of problem you'd come across?

Liberals rely on the government to baby them from birth, that is not what the Government is for. If you need constant care from your government, then move to a socialist country. In a capitalistic society, the government should not interfere with the free market (except to regulate quality, and to avoid monopolies). Since Healthcare is a service industry, it only follows that capitalism should not allow for government regulation. Capitalism works. Prices benefit the consumer. The problem in the United States is that, instead of the government controlling business, you have lobbyists in Congress controlling the government. Keeping them seperate is the key, and that is the current problem with the healthcare system, not the fact that the government isn't running it.
And there I think is the big split between liberals and conservatives. Liberals would love to see the government running their healthcare system. Liberals (like neocons) WANT big government. This country was established to rid its people of tyranny. Allowing the government to control and manipulate the country ceaselessly will only serve to kill this country. Liberals and Neoconservatives could care less about the constitution. Big government, increased spending, global government. It's ridiculous.
