Don't forget 'Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)' - that is a flawless album too featuring my favorite Kinks song 'Victoria'.
My warning would to be wary of their 70's collections. Sure, it includes some radio friendly tunes like Lola & Superman - but it takes a very particular person to appreciate it (I sure can't). Their music ranges from vaudeville to arena rock & is punctuated by Ray Davies completely taking over the band as Dave Davies is sidelined.
