Yeah, I'm also pretty stoked about that girl getting raped and the guy being held at gunpoint seeing as the guy has spent the last decade of his life teaching mexican students. Very deserved, good job masked bandits!
I think this is much more of a problem than just for tourists, which is something in itself (Certain Mexican cities rely pretty heavily on tourists for their income, keep that in mind if you take away the tourist it's going to cause some form of an economic problem). It's not just tourists getting killed and messed with it's the police too.
