Track by track

“Black Dog” is rap metal current examples of today rap metal bands would be Korn, Kid Rock and rage against the machine. You can clearly see this in the first 15 seconds of the track when Richard plant informs a young girl that he intends to make her sweat and groove, and his wise words require no riffing.

“Rock and Roll” is the start of Hair metal. It sounds like a prototypical blues based pop metal something which you see Areosmith, Cinderella . Its also a boogie band tribute to the roots of rock

“The battle of Evermore” It maybe not sound like Celtic Frost , Pates Warning or Steel Prophets . but it operates like progressive metal, it fades , talks about the dark lords and ring wraiths .. Progressive metal doesn’t mean about writing bout the future it means writing about a past that never happen

“Stairway to heaven” Do I even want to get into this . Its Power Metal balled.

“Misty Mountain Hop” please get stoned play this song then play guns and roses welcome to the jungle . I swear to god Robert Plant an Axl Rose are discussing what its really like to move to California. ….This song is Reality metal. It talks about meeting kids hanging out in the grass with flowers in there hair .

“Four Sticks” As long as there is naked women swinging for poles and 10 buck beers there is a need for songs like this and songs like Monster Magnet “Power trip” Its Fast and heavt and darky sleazy

“Going to California” unplugged metal………

And I think I already cover when the Levee breaks

Honestly, I'm not going to argue with you. Led Zepplin were undoubtably a big influence for many early bands, however it's painfully obvious that at most, Zep were like the grandfathers of heavy metal.

Your posts would garner more credibility if you didn't type like a 13 year old girl posting Myspace bulletins btw
