Lol I always used to defend Tool here but these days I'm fairly comfortable with people calling them overrated. But I still find it rediculously funny to see the amount of people that get really wound up because so many people idolise the band and they can't work out why. Or they think there should be some obvious reason why people love them. They're just a good band. It's that simple. They have a good drummer, and Maynard is easily a top frontman of the 90's and today, but other than that they're just a bloody standard band...that's ironically, fucking great.
For example, Opiate, such a great hard rock e.p. But why? Musicianship isn't mindblowing, yet somehow this is exactly what hard rock should be. None of that Welcome to the Jungle crap.
Edit: Seltzer I want to hear all about that.
